Features | Why Little Piggy?
Capable of Running Both News Sites and Gallery Sites

Little Piggy is equiped to run both text-based websites and photo gallery websites. News sites, review sites, magazines, folio sites, photo albums, if you can think of something chances are Little Piggy can do it. Galleries can even be attached to a Content Category, so that pictures can be joined to a Content Item and accessed through it.
Fully Functional Categories System

Content Categories and Gallery Categories can be created and tailored to your needs. Each category is completely seperate from the others, giving you the option of adding as many Input Fields as you want to a single category, and they will only appear when posting content to that category. This enables for highly customised websites with plenty of flexibility.
Skin Pack Template System

Little Piggy comes with its own easy to understand template system. You have full control over page appearance, just insert Piggy Tags where you want the relevant content to appear. Thanks to Little Piggy's Skin Pack system, you can switch from one design to another on the touch of a button, regardless of whether you are creating CSS sites or table-based sites.
PHP and MySQL Based

A server-friendly combination of PHP and MySQL databases means practically no build time, and no restriction on the size of your websites.
Multi-Level Users

Administrators: Have full access to all of Little Piggy's functions, including the template system, user management and full posting rights.
Editors: Have full posting rights, access to user management options, and Content Queue Moderation, meaning Editors can move content from the Content Queue onto the live website.
Contributors: Are able to post content to the Content Queue, and also modify and remove their content. However, they can only see their own content in the queue, and not other contributors'.
Content Queue

A good solution for larger websites with many writers. Each writer can be given a username and password, and they can then post their content to the Content Queue. This is a temporary database holding content that an Editor or Administrator must check over before it is available for viewing on the live website.
Multiple Indexing Options

Little Piggy is capable of creating alphabetical, chronological and multipage indexes, no programming required. Users again have full control over the appearance of the pages, including how each item is listed. Multiple categories can be in the same listing, and you can specify a Content Page Template to view each category through when a link is clicked.
Alphabetical: The first page viewable displays a selected number of newest Content Items, together with a clickable alphabet. Each letter takes the visitor to a seperate page containing all Content Items beginning with that letter.
Chronological: Again initially shows a selected number of newest Items, but this time with clickable months, and links to move forward or back a year.
Multipage: Select a number of Content Items to show in a page, and Little Piggy will display page numbering as well as backwards and forwards links, splitting your list into however many pages are needed.
Gallery-Ready

Little Piggy is ready from the get-go to create gallery sites, users have full control over a gallery's appearance, and they can dicate how many thumbnails to show per page. Galleries can also be indexed, with multipage indexing being the most likely candidate.
Search Page Generation

You select the categories a search page will search through, you select the appearance of the results pages, and you can even specify the size of the Input Field for inclusion in other pages. There is no limit to the number of search pages you can create.
Include Creation

Three types of includes are possible; static, newest items and search. Search includes are created automatically when you create a search page, static includes are raw text, meaning you can type in any XHTML you want or any PHP, Javascript etc. Newest Items Includes offer a built-in solution for creating small lists of newest items created. You control the appearance of each item, and how many you want, and Little Piggy does the rest.
